TAC's executive bench is looking for a Fractional CTO for Swiss scale-ups and industrial tech companies in the Zurich area. You provide technology leadership without a full-time hire: architecture governance, engineering organisation, cloud and AI roadmap, and the credibility to represent technology to boards and investors.
Act as interim or part-time CTO for 1 to 3 client companies
Audit and steer technology strategy, architecture and technical debt
Set up engineering rituals, hiring scorecards and vendor governance
Own cloud, data and AI roadmaps together with TAC's specialist teams
Report technology health to boards, investors and auditors
12+ years in engineering leadership, including CTO or VP Engineering in venture-backed or industrial tech companies
Track record with cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP) and modern data stacks
Fluent English; German is a strong plus for Swiss Mittelstand clients
Business acumen: you connect technology decisions to P&L outcomes
Based in Switzerland or willing to work on-site 2 days per week in Zurich
